During the first meeting of the 2024 year for the Lee County Board of Education, Lee County Judge-Executive Steve Mays issued a proclamation declaring January School Board Recognition Month. Judge Mays commended Chair Lamont Coldiron, Vice-Chair Donald Napier, Member Stephen Lanham, Member William Owens, and Member Avis Thompson for their service to the district and for working closely with county officials to keep students safe.
