ABOUT OUR DISTRICT

Lee County is located in the scenic Eastern Kentucky foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, 25 miles southeast of Natural Bridge State Park. This region is often call the Three Forks region, since Beattyville, our county seat, is where the North Fork, South Fork and Middle Fork meet to form the Kentucky River. 

Lee County School District serves approximately 900 students in grades K-12, housed in one middle/ high school (6-12), and one elementary school (K-5), and an area technology center (9-12). The district has consistently emphasized academic quality. In addition, the district is committed to providing 21st Century Learning instructional materials and equipment to our staff and students. Every classroom in the district is equipped with ceiling mounted projectors and interactive whiteboards. 

The Lee County School District, and all of its schools - Lee County Elementary,  Lee County Middle/ High School, and Lee County Area Technology Center, are accredited through AdvancED SACS/CASI. For more information go to http://www.sacscasi.org.
