We are nearing the end of a great school year but there are still many great & exciting events left for our students, families and community. These dates are all tentative until our last day of school is officially set. An updated calendar is available at www.lee.kyschools.us

Please be at the High School Front lobby tomorrow morning from around 4:15 am to 4:30 am. There is no reason to be there much earlier. We will do a quick bag check, check roll and then load the motor coach around 5 am There will plenty of storage under the coach so take a large suitcase and include various jackets, hoodies, extra pair of shoes in case rain, pair of gloves, ponchos, umbrella, rain jacket or whatever you may need plus some snacks and drinks. You will also want to take a backpack as a carry on with snacks, chargers and whatever you may need for the long ride on Tuesday.

This is a reminder that there will be NO school for students on Monday, March 11, 2024. This will be a planning day for staff. Please see the attached document for important dates for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year.

There will NOT be school in Lee County on Friday, February 16, 2024 due to high sickness in the district. This will NOT be an NTI day and this day will be added to the end of our school calendar. Today, there were over 125 students out in Lee County K-12 plus staff illness (most range from strep, stomach virus, some covid but lots of Flu A & B). All extra-curricular events for Friday through Sunday will be cancelled. The only except will be the LCMHS academic team will participate in the Regional Tournament on Saturday, weather permitting (this cannot be rescheduled). We will be off on Monday, February 19, 2024 for Presidents day. Hopefully the four day break will help the cycle of sickness. Thank you for your understanding!

Lee County Schools will have their 100th day on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. We appreciate everyone's patience, understanding and help throughout this school year. There is a lot of learning still to come plus many great events for our students before we break for the summer.

Lee Co School's Calendar has been updated as of Jan 26, 2024 and reflects our traditional snow days and NTI days over the last few weeks. Our tentative last day for student's is currently Fri, May 17, 2024. We have used 6 of our 10 NTI days. Visit www.lee.kyschools.us

Lee Co Schools will be in session on Thurs, Jan 25th but our buses will use the snow plan routes plus we will not be able to run Wide Creek Road in the AM & PM. Wide Creek & Brushy Creek students will meet at J. Wilson's Garage. https://www.lee.kyschools.us/page/transportation

There will be NO school in Lee County (Traditional Snow Day) on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. We have checked the majority of our roads on Monday and Tuesday and there remains issues with side roads and bus turnarounds on most routes. Student safety remains our #1 priority.

Lee County School will have NTI Day #6 on Tuesday, January 223 2024. Unfortunately, there are still many issues with side roads and bus turnarounds. Guardians and Students please reach out to your school and teachers for guidance. Staff should discuss with your administrators.

Hello everyone, there will be NO school in Lee County on Tues, Jan 16, 2024. A day will be added at the end of the school calendar. Stay safe and remember to check on your family, neighbors & friends. We will evaluate the plans for the rest of the week on a day to day basis.

We hope everyone has had an eventful but relaxing Winter Break. This is a reminder that students will be returning to Lee Co Schools tomorrow (Wed, Jan. 3rd). Everyone be careful and aware on the roads. We have missed our students. We haven't seen them since last year!

Just in time for the Christmas season, LCMHS presents a Radio Production of Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. This will be available to hear throughout the coming days in various locations: -Friday, December 8th @ 6:30 pm on WJSN 97.3 FM -Sunday, December 10th @ 2:30pm in our Sedley Stewart Auditorium (before the Band Concert) -Monday, December 11th on YouTube and the LCMHS Facebook page

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding today during our early dismissal. As a school district, we understand that early dismissal days can cause issues for our parents, students and staff so we do not make those decisions lightly. The water main has been repaired so there will be school on Friday, November 17th.
